The following are international invitational events requiring a qualification process for players who are interested in representing Malaysia on the world stage.

World Scrabble Championship 2025

WSC Qualification Criteria

MSA reserves final decision if number of allocations are not fulfilled and will have full discretion of selection of representatives.

  1. Must be an MSA member
  2. 60 rated games played in the highest division with at least one 2-day tournament played in July 2024 – July 2025 when the Nationals 2025 will be held.
  3. Unless given a valid reasoning, Nationals 2025 is a compulsory participation to determine qualification
  4. National Champ is automatic entry and should he/she abstain from participating, then the slot will be passed on to the next eligible candidate based on the remaining criteria subject to MSA’s approval.
  5. The reps to be determined by ratings post-Nationals. (Nationals will be the final tournament rated for this criteria)

  7. This Criteria is subject to change based on any changes done to WSC2025 and subject to discretion from the MSA Committee
